Rededicating Yourself to God

As thousands of people gather with our nation’s leaders in Washington, DC, on Sunday, May 17, for a service rededicating our nation to God, you and I can also take time to call on God and rededicate our own lives.
Life’s journey often calls us to pause and reflect on our relationship with God. At times, we need to rededicate ourselves, renewing our commitment to walk faithfully with Him. Rededication is not about perfection but about sincere surrender and a willingness to align our lives fully with God’s will.
The Bible encourages us to turn back to God wholeheartedly: “Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love” (Joel 2:13). No matter how far we may have drifted, God’s grace invites us to start anew. When we rededicate ourselves, we acknowledge His sovereignty over our lives and commit to living in obedience.
Paul’s example is inspiring: “But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and reaching forward to what is ahead, I pursue as my goal the prize promised by God’s heavenly call in Christ Jesus.”
I pray that you take time to pause, reflect on your personal relationship with God, and recommit your life to Him. Join me in praying for our nation and for one another.
